This tiny kitten, now lovingly named Blackberry, was found abandoned in a shoebox outside a nearby emergency hospital in Mount Kisco. Orphaned, eyes still closed, and just days old — Blackberry needs a bottle every 2 hours and help just to go to the bathroom.
Dr. Carril and our team at Healing Paws Veterinary Center immediately volunteered to hand-raise this fragile soul, providing not only medical support, but the kind of around-the-clock love every newborn deserves.
Blackberry can’t see yet, but when those little eyes open… the very first thing they’ll see is love — and the gentle hands of a devoted veterinarian.
This is the heart of veterinary care: quiet acts of compassion that change lives.
