Our team talks about pets a lot… even when we’re not at work. So when we had the idea to create a custom coloring book featuring the pets of our staff, it quickly turned into one of the cutest projects we’ve ever made.
From Popcorn and BB to Brizzy, Sheldon, Millie, Bailey, and Bandido, every page features a real pet loved by someone on our team. Some are goofy. Some are sleepy. Some are chaos in fur form. All of them are family.
The coloring book was created as a fun way to share a little more of who we are outside the exam room. Veterinary medicine can be serious and emotional work, and projects like this remind us why we love what we do — the bond people have with their animals.
The best part? We’ll be bringing copies to the 2026 SPCA Dog Walk & Pet Fair on May 16th at FDR State Park in Yorktown Heights from 10 AM–1 PM.
Come stop by our booth, meet Dr. Lindsey Thomas and Dr. Valerie Carril, grab some goodies, say hello, and pick up a coloring book for the kids (or honestly… for yourself). We’ll be there celebrating pets, meeting fellow animal lovers, and supporting the incredible work of the SPCA Westchester.
The event is one of the biggest pet-friendly community events in Westchester and includes:

Vendor village
Food trucks
Kids activities
Doggy agility and lure course
Adoptable pets
Music and demos throughout the day
We’re especially excited because this event feels very “us” — community, pets, family, and a little bit of fun.
